Matthew 18:14
Hunter was born at a fairly normal 37 week gestation but the struggle ahead of him was quite apparent as soon as he was born. He was small for his gestational age, had multiple congenital anomalies including those of the skull and face bones, had no external ears, and no eyelids. The list goes on but there is no official diagnosis for him. He has a tracheotomy for breathing and a G-tube for eating. He currently cannot take anything by mouth as his airway is not open.
As there is no diagnosis for Hunter, it is very difficult for them to get help with his supplies. Their insurance has a cap of $5000 for medical supplies per year and they do not include nutritional supplies in that amount. Hunter needs eye cream in his eyes every 3 hours because his eyes do not close. Since the cream is an over-the-counter medication, neither insurance nor Medicaid will pay for it. He uses a tub of cream each day at a cost of $11/tub. In addition, for his supplies that are covered by Medicaid, his family still needs to pay a spend down each month of $720. So the out-of-pocket amount for medical supplies and medication is $1075/month. Total need is $4015 for eye cream and $720/month.

Just a few updates
Hunter is 4 months and 1 week old, he weighes 10lbs, 19inches long! Doing great his doctors are very happy with his progress. We got a new formula recipe to help him get bigger! He sleep the whole night almost every night even better for Mike and I. We love Hunter soooo much he is a great baby!!!
Hunter is doing great crawling everywhere, walking while holding on to objects, pushing toys and trying to start taking steps. He had a Urology Surgery July 2nd, and it went great all of his Urology surgeries are done now. He does go back to Childrens on August 15th for cheek bone placement. This surgery is to help create him bottom eye lids and support his eyes. This is the start to many future surgeries on his cheeks and eyes. He is now 17lbs. 4oz and 27inches long. He is starting to grow also. Hunter and all of us are learning sign language and he is picking up on it very great he knows about 20-30 signs. He is a very smart little guy learns very fast and figures everything out. He know how all of his toys work and how to turn them all on. If you give him a new toy is only 5min and he figures out everything about it. He is so amazing to watch. Thank you very much for all your support.
